The Suns 8th grade basketball team won the Shelby Large Division Basketball Championship last night at ECS. St. Dominic defeated Briarcrest in the Tournament finals, 44-34. The Suns entered the tournament as a #1 seed after finishing the regular season 11-1 in League play. Three players were named to the All-Tournament Team: Jack McLaughlin – MVP, Henry Pietrangelo, and Grayson Sellers. The 8th Grade Suns are coached by Jay Mathis and Chip Hamlet.
